Interview with Kelly R. Samuels by Jane Newkirk
How did Kelly come up with the title of her new book, Oblivescence? Well, she says:
“I loved the rarity of [the word oblivescence], I loved that it meant exactly the process of forgetting… I also really like the sound of it, I think it echoes or mimics the word ‘loss,’ and so when I was putting together the manuscript, there was never really any other option for me, as a title. I knew that this was it.”
