SPELL CHECK: Palmer Launch and Spelling Bee

Join us for an Alaska book launch and spelling bee in collaboration with Fireside Books and 203 Kombucha in Palmer on Saturday, August 1, at 6 p.m. Editor/publisher Caitlin Buxbaum will introduce the book, Laura Carpenter and Sue Skvorc will read their essays from the book, and the bee will begin. The bee will be moderated by Laura, who helped judge the Alaska State Spelling Bee in Anchorage this spring!

Admission is free, and if you win the spelling bee, you get a goodie bag that includes our new book, which you can preview here.

Be sure to arrive on time to catch the reading and secure your spot!

Monthly Poetry Workshop

Join local author Caitlin M.S. Buxbaum every second or third Wednesday, 5:30-6:30 p.m, from July through September, at Black Birch Books in Wasilla for a FREE poetry workshop! Each month, we will learn about and practice writing poetry in a specific form.

Please bring pen & paper or your preferred writing tools and we'll provide the inspiration! Coffee and tea are also free :)
